1) File for a Travel Permit. It is preferable that PR's keep their trips abroad under 6 months if they can. If not then it is best for PRs to keep their trips under one year. PRs should not stay abroad for more than a year without a travel permit and should not let their travel permit expire while they are abroad if they do travel abroad for more than one year.
2) Where someone gets their PR through employment, they should work for the employer for at least a few months after receiving their green card. My Wife got RFE on EAD, asking her to schedule an appointment for biometrics. There is no scuch thing that we could sehedule biometrics. We took an infopass appointment, USCIS officer she understood the issue and aimmediately gave an apponitment for biometrics.
Inconsistent RFE are issued by USICS these days. Take infopass appointment, go to the field office with all the documents and hope they would help you.

I have been through a couple of acquisitions. You dont need to do anything with the h1b.
But for travel - Whenever you are travel outside US, keep a newspaper clipping of the acquisition. Also take a letter from your HR stating you have been working for Company B, which was acquired by Company A and that you continue to work with the new organization.

My FP was done on 10/17 but no LUD.how often they update status online?
We gave for fingerprints 5 days back but our LUD on I-485 is not yet updated. Is this common?
I-485 receipts from NSC.
Most of my friends LUD is updated within 2 days of giving finger prints.
Please post your experiences.

Thanks for the offer. I am not sure if I have permission to shoot any thing on a federal govt agency premises, but will do my best. My sources tell me that some main stream media will cover it. For us to be able to make a good impact, we need to have people there.

https://efiling.uscis.dhs.gov/efile/ allows you to efile your applications. Not all can be efiled, but the EAD and AP can be! For sure.
Max you can do is 180 days in advance. It is unnecessary for the most part. But won't say it is not advised. Only some folks have experienced delays in getting their EADs on time, and such events, its always to be earlier than late in filing.
In terms of processing - and which one is better - i would assume e-file is slightly faster. Only difference is USCIS gets paid a lot faster. One may be required to do FPs in any case. It doesnt matter, if they need new fingerprints, they'll ask for it. After efiling, USCIS may still ask you to send supporting documents to their mailing address, along witha printout of the receipt of efiling. Other benefit of e-filing is, that you get your EAC (Receipt # stating that appln has been filed) right away. That is a huge benefit according to me, than anything else, for efiling. Other one is ofcourse, you dont pay to your lawyer for that processing fees.

Just noticed that my lawyer has attached marriage certificate of my co-worker in the dependendent's petition. I am waiting for the receipt.
What are the impacts of this mistake? To compound the issue, my wife is flying out next week for a month to India.

You will gen a RFE and while sending the RFE response make sure you write a nice letter to USCIS mentioning that the law offices screwed it up.

I'll be applying for my wife's and my visa stamping and therefore did some research on this issue myself. I believe that we'll need to print out DS-160 as well and take it to the consulate, the same way we did with previous forms. We can, therefore, write our names (or whoever is the applicant) in our native language on it.

NSC and TSC are still processing the mid june filers cases. Please see the below link. They are slow in issuing receipts. The date you are seeing is notice dates. The receipt date are june or prior to that.
