Now I'm curious; what's the best selling brand? Funnily enough, my family used to have a Voyager years ago. It was actually a very solid van, if a bit crude. We don't get the diesel option in the US though, so we had to make do with a gasoline 2.4L with 20mpg. :(
well the mother of a friend also had a 10 years+ Voyager turbo diesel: great turbo whine but the clutch was horribly unreliable. and the interiour was designed by somebody who, obviously, was blind.
the list of those local sales: January and February:
VW 370
Skoda 130
Mercedes 115
Opel 107
Kia 103

Let me just sum this up in advance:
Apple sues someone: "They are protecting their IP/trademarks."
Someone sues Apple: "They are bleeding money and need an Apple handout" or "Patent troll"
Usually this is followed by someone with a 'shareholder' remark since they somehow believe that owning 7 shares of Apple should get them a direct line to the CEO.
Ut-oh, I'm not conforming to the groupthink... here comes about 40 'hater' comments.
Not at all the same thing. I was okay with the first round of patents by Nokia. But after the ITC rejected their claims, this just looks like horrible sour grapes. If these are legitimate patent violations, why didn't Nokia include them in their first round of claims? This staggered approach (after the failure of their most promising patents) increasingly looks like an attempt by Nokia to harass in hopes of a "stop annoying us" out of court settlement by Apple.

Bloomberg has no choice but to support the Mosque ... he needs to stay politically correct
Not really, i think he genuinely supports the mosque. And if he publicly said he opposed it, i doubt he would face much backlash because 70% of the country don't support it. Actually, i think he is facing more backlash FOR supporting it.

Very well stated. You'll notice that very few posts in the forum are riding the fence. They either see very clearly that a felony was committed, or they see that Apple is an evil monolithic empire, kicking down 'the little guy.'
This is called moral relativism... where everything is 'relative' unless it happens to you - then it becomes a big deal and a reason to be indignant. Those who are claiming they now see Apple as the new Microsoft are delusional. They think they hate big business, but are too delusional to realize how they benefit from big business. There are corrupt companies out there, but many choose to throw out the baby w/ the bath water. They align themselves ideologically with the likes of Che Guerva and his ilk, who would not and could not deliver an innovative device like an iPhone at a price for the common man, and then demonize the company that brings them the products they cannot get enough of.
It's hypocrisy that has gone into hyperdrive.
Yeah, keep in mind this is all over a phone. An expensive toy for grownups.
Missing kids and amber alerts don't get this kind of attention unless there is a particularly "sensational" aspect to it.
Let's keep this in perspective.

Usually, if you buy a computer from Apple in a year and it has last years iLife, take your receipt to Apple and they will give you the latest version. They usually put a note/voucher in the box telling you to take it to someone that sells iLife and you can get it, for free.
Contact Apple first though, I haven't heard of anyone getting any vouchers yet.

Of course it was a domestic dispute.
But regardless of whether it was a domestic dispute or not, let's consider it generically: two people are involved in a fight. Perhaps it's physical, perhaps it's not, but they're fighting. One person has enough and decides to leave. Why in the WORLD would the other person go after him/her?Again, this is the point: you do not know. You are prejudging her, when the natural assumption of guilt would lie with the driver.

That would be illegal with the new law as well. AFAIK, it's now illegal in France to wear garments that conceal one's face in public - not only for women but for men too. Since it applies to women and men equally, it's not discriminatory.
He could have argued it was for health reasons (one of the exceptions). Ski masks are allowed (sporting activities are exceptions also).

"Unsurprisingly, the machine was found to be significantly faster than the previous generation."
Yeah, because it's comparing the new i5 with the old i3. And even when it's compared with last years i5, that processor was 2.8ghz and the new one is 3.1ghz.
Look more closely. This year's Core i5 outperforms last year's Core i7 model, as well as the old 3.6GHz Core i5.

Perhaps iLife 07 will see some major enhancements and as a result, be released in tandem with Leopard to capitallize on certain functionality/integration.

Been hearing of people who use power splitters to power two cards, but don't know much about it.
It's been done before, but users have to be careful due to how much current is drawn from each rail (+12V). Pull too much current from any rail, and you will trip protection circuits at best, and possibly even blow the PSU. If the latter happens, you could damage other parts of the system.
What makes this harder in the MP, is I don't recall any information as to what the current limit is, or trace out which rail is which.
Anyone item in itself will is not going to be worth $1000.00, but you start to include all these items, it adds up pretty quickly.
Aluminum is a lot more expensive metal then steel & plastic.
Aluminum may be more expensive than steel, but there's not enough of it to remotely justify an additional $1k on an SP Mac Pro. Not even adding in the cost difference between the PSU's (btw, you can spec out a larger PSU in the Dell's, and it's mandatory with some options IIRC).
In terms of reliability, we're talking about workstations, which are designed to be more reliable than desktops (tend to see things like better cooling, layout, ... vs. desktop counterparts).

I can't wait for FaceTime in 3D, although I'm not so sure that will work without stereo lenses. If its worth it, Apple will make it - someday.

oh, HELL no. Please don't tell me you're serious. Can you actually imagine someone carrying around a portfolio of these plates to lay on their computer? That's worse than an 8" floppy!!!
Unbelievable.
I pray this never sees the light of day.

My wife and I adore our two MBA 11" 4Gb Ram 64 SSD refurbs, both are awaiting install of a 360 OWC SSD in each, then they will become our main machines:eek:, Mine will share duty with my 1st gen iPad, and hers will share duties with the iPad 2. We so love the size and weight of our iPads, we chose to downsize to the 11"MBA as well.

Should have known you were an EASTERN UKRAINIAN... you all voted Russian and or for the Russianization of Eastern Ukraine, right?
Ok, so you are American.. good. But you also most understand that in America, there is no real culture.. What would life be like without Pyrohi or Pierogi? Holuptsi? Horilka?
I didn't vote for anyone except obama, i was born here. Didn't vote for russian anything. Although my great babushka was in the KGB. We have a cute little picture of her in her leather jacket with a gun and cigar in her mouth, god rest her soul! She would be turning in her grave if she knew how american my family would become. But in the end, i don't care about anything regarding russia or ukraine, i have no connection to it and i have no family left there. And America DOES have a culture, it's a mix of all cultures and their influences and contributions, part of the reason my family loves an appreciates this country so much. And as much as i like holuptsi and pierogi, i'd take me a good old bacon cheeseburger with cajun fries from five guys over any of that!

here's what i use on my 465
-gpu 0 -forcegpu nvidia_fermi -verbosity 9 -local
Only one gpu in this system so -gpu 0 isn't necessary. I was thinking I saw that I didn't need to set -forcegpu nvidia_fermi and it is working fine just not as fast as I would like though wu's are going through in about an hour, -verbosity 9, meh, and -local, I don't know if that does anything with gpu clients?

There's this apparent debate over whether it'll be aluminum or magnesium, but I'm not sure that Wu and AppleInsider's sources are really in disagreement. It'll probably be an aluminum-magnesium alloy, similar to what is used in soda cans, only thicker and with a different finish.

With the way that screeshots end up in the public eye from these Dev releases, does anyone think that this is all that 10.5 will have to show us? Apple knows leaks like this are going to happen, so we're not really seeing the "good stuff" yet. AKA: Top Secret features. ;)
I agree. I think there's going to be some significant changes to the Finder, and they haven't included any of those with the developer releases. I'm definitely looking forward to the "good stuff"! :D
